Call for Artists From Many, One: Results of Revolution Exhibition Brick Store Museum | Opening May 2026

Exhibition Theme: Artists are invited to reflect on the ideals, contradictions, and personal meanings of patriotism.
In honor of the American Semiquincentennial (250th anniversary), the Brick Store Museum is seeking original artwork for a landmark exhibition: “From Many, One” aims to amplify the full chorus of the American story by pairing contemporary art with historical artifacts
from the Revolutionary era.
We are looking for work that explores:
– What does “patriotism” look like to you? How is it defined?
– What does “patriot” mean?
– What unifies a nation with so many definitions?
This is an opportunity to showcase your work in a setting that bridges the gap between 1776 and today, sparking community-wide reflection on what it means to be “One” from “Many.”
Media: All visual art forms are welcome, including painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, textiles, installation, and digital art.
Eligibility: Open to all artists. Emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply.
Submission Requirements:
• Up to 3 works may be submitted for consideration, only one will be selected.
• Artwork will be evaluated by the museum’s exhibition committee based on its relevance to the exhibition theme, overall artistic merit, and condition. Due to space limitations, size and weight restrictions may apply. Works must be professionally presented and ready for display; framing and mounting quality will be taken into consideration during the selection process. The Museum reserves the right to
exclude works that do not meet exhibition standards or arrive in unsuitable condition.
• Each submission must include the title, medium, dimensions, and a brief artist statement (150 words max) describing how your work connects to the exhibition theme.
• All work must be original and available for display during the exhibition period.
