About the Competition:
Prix Ars Electronica is the world’s longest-running and most prestigious media arts competition, celebrating artistic works at the intersection of art, technology, and society. Winners will have their projects featured at the Ars Electronica Festival.

Participation Requirements:
• The competition is open to artists and creative teams worldwide.
• Each work may be submitted to only one category. Multiple works may be submitted separately.
• Participation is free of charge and submissions are only valid if completed online.
• Do not send irreplaceable originals; submitted materials will not be returned.

  • Interactive Art +

  • New Animation Art

  • u19 – create your world (for under 19)

Deadline:
March 9, 2026

Submission Method:
Entries are accepted exclusively through the online submission platform. Once all required materials are submitted, applicants receive confirmation via email.

Fee:
Participation is completely free.

Prizes:
Each category awards a Golden Nica with up to €10,000. Selected works will be presented at the Ars Electronica Festival 2026 in Linz, Austria.
