2026 Henki Art Prize
International Art Competition — Free to Enter
Henki Art invites artists from around the world to participate in the 2026 Henki Art Prize, an international art competition exploring the relationship between art and water.
Theme: “Still We Look. Still We Look.”
The 2026 edition asks artists to consider water as a subject, material, metaphor, witness, and force.
Artists are encouraged to explore themes such as:
- Memory
- Ecology
- The human body
- Ritual
- Displacement
- Contamination
- Grief
- Endurance
- Return
- Environmental concerns
- The relationship between awareness and action
Eligible Artwork
All media are welcome, including:
- Painting
- Sculpture
- Photography
- Digital art
- Video-based work
Video submissions may not exceed 5 minutes.
The artwork must be original, created solely by the artist, and produced within the last two years. Submitted work must relate to the theme and explore water through its physical, conceptual, cultural, or symbolic dimensions.
Artists from all countries are eligible to participate.
Entry Fee
The first artwork is free to enter.
Additional entries cost $20 USD each, with a maximum of two additional works.
Awards
🏆 Winner: $500 USD
🎨 Other shortlisted artists: $125 USD each
Selected artists will also receive:
- Publication in the official printed catalogue
- Opportunities to be featured on Henki Art’s website and social media

Longlist Notification: October 20, 2026
Finalist Notification: November 15, 2026
Winner Announcement: December 10, 2026
Important Information
Only one form entry per artist is allowed. The first artwork is included free of charge.
Henki Art operates as an online gallery, and shipping of physical artwork is not required.
