18th MEMORIAL INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN’S DRAWING COMPETITION 2023 CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
For a Sustainable Future: “Nature in My Dreams”
Memorial Health Group expects the participation of children all over the world as well as children all over Turkey in the painting contest organized for the 18th time this year. This year, the competition has moved to an international dimension. The theme of the Memorial International Children’s Painting Competition was determined as “Nature in My Dreams”.
The painting contest on the theme “Nature in My Dreams” will be an organization that raises awareness about environmental problems that affect all humanity globally this year and draws attention to how the world we will leave to future generations is imagined through the eyes of children.
The competition aims to help children, who are our future, paint the nature they dream of living in, thus raising awareness about nature conservation and a sustainable future, and reflecting their dreams with the healing power of colors and art.
Painting supports children’s self-confidence
Pedagogy Specialist Dr. Melda Alantar from the Department of Child Health and Diseases of Memorial Şişli Hospital stated that painting has important benefits for child development and gave the following information: “Painting is a more powerful expression tool than words, especially at a young age. It is a powerful tool that reflects children’s personality traits, interpersonal relationships, and value judgments. For this reason, while it is sufficient for parents and teachers to provide children with the opportunity to draw and encourage them in this regard, an educational approach that will accelerate the child’s tendency to draw should be followed in the future. The awarding of the winners of the painting competition supports children’s self-confidence and supports child development by ensuring that they are aware of their abilities.”
The deadline for applications for the competition, which can be attended by all pre-school, primary and secondary school level students: 1 April 2023

Contest Rules
- The competition will be held in three categories: pre-school, primary and secondary school.
- Pictures will be made on 35cm x 50cm painting paper with crayons.
- In the back right corner of the pictures, the name and surname of the competitor, age, school, name and surname of the parent and phone should be written. Each competitor has the right to participate in the competition only once.
- The works participating in the competition will not be returned to the authors. Only the awarded works can be given to the owners if requested within 1 year.
- Competitors can send their pictures to Memorial Ataşehir, Bahçelievler, Şişli, Ankara, Antalya, Diyarbakır, Dicle, Kayseri Hospitals and Memorial Hizmet Hospital by hand or by mail until Saturday, April 1, 2023.
- The winners will be announced on Monday, April 17 at www.memorial.com.tr.
