Applications Open for “May 19 Art – 2nd International Interdisciplinary Youth Exhibition”
Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Fine Arts has officially announced the second edition of the “May 19 Art – International Interdisciplinary Youth Exhibition,” organized in celebration of Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day. The exhibition aims to bring together undergraduate and graduate students from around the world, providing a global platform for young artists to showcase their creativity.
A Meaningful Artistic Gathering Dedicated to Youth
Highlighting the historical significance of May 19, 1919, as a milestone in the foundation of the Republic of Türkiye, the exhibition reflects Atatürk’s vision and trust in youth. The event encourages participants to express their perspectives through art, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue and cultural exchange among emerging artists.
Exhibition to Open on May 19, 2026
The exhibition will open on May 19, 2026, at the Çanakkale Municipality Troia Exhibition Hall, and will also be presented online. The hybrid format aims to reach a broader international audience and showcase diverse artistic approaches.
Deadline: May 10, 2026
Students wishing to participate must submit their applications and required documents via the official online form by May 10, 2026.

Who Can Apply?
- Undergraduate and graduate students worldwide
- Applicants must provide valid proof of student status
- Each participant may submit only one artwork
Technical Requirements
- Visual works must be submitted in PDF format (minimum 300 dpi)
- Maximum width: 70 cm
- Video submissions must be in MP4 format, up to 3 minutes
- File naming format:
Name_Surname_Title_Technique_Size_Year.pdf

Opportunities for Young Artists
Selected participants will receive:
- A digital certificate of participation
- Inclusion in the digital exhibition catalog
- The opportunity to exhibit their work both physically and online
Organizers also state that submitted works may be used for promotional purposes with proper credit.
Organizing Body
The exhibition is organized under the leadership of Dean Prof. Didem Çatal, with contributions from an academic art committee and organizing team from the Faculty of Fine Arts.
