International Children’s Cartoon Character Art Competition 2026 3rd Edition
The International Children Cartoon Character Art Competition 2026 invites children from different parts of the world to showcase their imagination and artistic creativity through original cartoon-character-themed artwork.
The competition is organized by the International Children Arts Platform (ICAP) and is designed for children and students.
Competition Theme
Cartoon Character
Participants are invited to create artwork based on the theme of cartoon characters.
Children may create their own original characters or develop artwork inspired by cartoon characters they enjoy.
Only hand-drawn artwork is accepted.
Computer-generated drawings and digital artworks are not accepted.
Who Can Participate?
The competition is open to children and students from different age and school groups.
The participating groups include:
- PN Group
- K.1 Group
- K.2 Group
- K.3 Group
- P.1–P.2 Group
- P.3–P.4 Group
- P.5–P.6 Group
- Secondary School Group
Both individual and group entries are accepted.
Competition Categories
There are three main types of entries:
1. Drawing / Painting
Children may create their own artwork based on the cartoon character theme.
2. Coloring
Participants may use the coloring materials provided by the organizer.
3. Handicrafts
Children may create handmade artwork based on the cartoon character theme.
Technical Requirements
Artwork:
- May be created in either horizontal or vertical format.
- May be made using a variety of traditional art materials.
- Must be at least A4 size.
- May use the coloring materials provided by the organizer.
- Must be hand-drawn or handmade.
- Computer-generated and digital artworks are not accepted.
After completing the artwork, participants may photograph or scan it and submit the digital image online.
Judging Criteria
Entries will be evaluated by a professional jury according to the following criteria:
- Technical Skill: 30%
- Creativity and Originality: 25%
- Presentation / Stage Performance: 20%
- Level of Completion: 15%
- Degree of Difficulty: 10%
Awards
Various awards are available for different levels of achievement, including:
- Champion
- Second Place
- Third Place
- Gold Award
- Silver Award
- Bronze Award
- Excellence Award
- Participation Award
Special awards include:
- Excellent Color Award
- Best Composition Award
- Outstanding Art Award
Special awards are selected by the professional jury based on the overall quality of the submitted works.
Group Awards
For group or teacher-coordinated entries:
Teams or groups with 5–9 participants may receive an Outstanding Art Education Award certificate.
Groups with 10 or more participants may receive a certificate as well as a crystal trophy.
How to Enter
The application process consists of three basic steps:
1. Complete the registration/application form.
2. Photograph or scan the completed artwork.
3. Send the artwork to the organizer via WhatsApp.
