Tottori Manga Kingdom 2026 – İnternational Comic Art Contest
The Tottori Manga Kingdom 2026 International Comic Art Contest is a prestigious global manga competition organized by Tottori Prefecture, Japan. This annual event invites manga and comic artists from around the world to present their creative works, gain international exposure, and compete for high-value awards. The contest is supported and hosted on the MediBang ARTstreet platform.
Theme and Entry Categories
The official theme for the 2026 contest is “Clothes.”
Participants are encouraged to express this theme freely—through culture, character identity, symbolism, narrative elements, or any visual interpretation.
Artists may submit entries in one or more of the following categories:
1) 1-Frame Manga
• A single-page, single-panel comic work.
2) 4-Frame Manga
• Short manga consisting of 1 to 8 pages, following the 4-panel comic style.
3) Manga Story
• Longer narrative manga between 4 and 24 pages.
Multiple submissions are allowed, and artists may participate in more than one category. All works must be original and unpublished.
Eligibility and Participant Rules
• Open to all nationalities, ages, and skill levels
• Professionals and amateurs are equally welcome
• Solo or collaborative works are accepted
• Submissions must comply with copyright laws and contain no infringements
This competition is open globally without restrictions.
Technical Requirements
Accepted Formats
Artists may submit digital or traditional artwork.
Page Size
• B4 (257 × 364 mm) or
• A4 (210 × 297 mm)
Resolution
• 600 dpi minimum for black-and-white manga
• 350 dpi or higher for color works
File Format
• Digital manuscripts must be submitted as PDF files
• Page numbers must appear at the bottom of each page
• Works may be black-and-white or full color
Traditional artwork may also be submitted by postal mail. However, originals will not be returned.
Contest Schedule
• Submission Start: April 20, 2026
• Submission Deadline: August 31, 2026 (Japan time)
• Winners Announcement: December 2026
• Award Ceremony: February 2027, held in Tottori Prefecture, Japan
Winners will be formally invited to the ceremony.

Submission Methods
Participants may choose one of the following:
1) Online Submission
• Upload a PDF file through the official online entry form
• Required information includes:
- Name
- Nationality
- Address
- Contact details
- Date of birth
- Category and title of the work
2) Postal Mail (Original Artwork or CD/DVD)
• Send printed pages (A4/B4 size) or digital files on CD/DVD
• Include one application form per work
• Submitted physical works will not be returned
Maximum digital upload size: 100 MB per entry
Judging Process
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of:
• Professional manga artists
• Editors
• Researchers
• Cultural experts
Evaluation will occur in multiple stages, and winners will be announced on the official website and MediBang ARTstreet page.
