4th International Ahilik and Ahi Evran Fairy Tale/Story, Poetry Essay and Painting Competition 2025 Participation Conditions
Within the scope of the 4th International Ahilik and Ahi Evran Competitions , primary school, secondary school, high school and university students will be able to apply to the competitions with their paintings, fairy tales/stories, poems and essays.
Students studying at primary school, secondary school, high school and university levels, both from our country and abroad, will be able to apply to the 4th International Ahilik and Ahi Evran Competitions with their paintings, fairy tales/stories, poems and essays .
The purpose of organizing the competitions every year is to contribute to the promotion and understanding of Ahilik and Ahi Evran, to remind the universal values they live by, and to shed light on these values for today’s world.
The theme, subject and content of all works submitted to the competition must be Ahilik and Ahi Evran, the founder of Ahilik. The language of the competitions will be Turkish . Before the work submitted to the competition is prepared, comprehensive information about Ahilik can be obtained from the Ahilik database on www.ahievran.org .
First, second and third place winners in all categories will be awarded an Apple iPad 10th Generation 10.9 inch 64 GB Wifi tablet . In addition, other students who are ranked will be awarded a book or a picture set as an honorable mention.
The application deadline for all competitions is July 15, 2025. The competition evaluation process is planned to be completed in September 2025 and the awards will be given during the 38th Ahi Week.
Students who are interested in the competitions can easily apply with their works by becoming a member of the www.ahievran.org website.
President of the Turkish World Parliamentarians Foundation Dr. Abdullah ÇALIŞKAN made the following statement regarding the competitions:

Today, in a world where all universal values, concepts and systems cannot bring peace, justice and tranquility to humanity, we believe that you should closely know the Ahi community, which forms the foundation of the Turkish-Islamic civilization, and the founder of the Ahi community, Hz. Ahi Evran Veli . Ahi Evran established an administrative, economic, social, cultural, military and commercial system with the skillful and moral human model he raised in the education system he established years ago .
At the core of this system are justice, mercy, competence, merit, work, lawful earnings, solidarity, respecting the rights of others, honesty, quality production, knowledge, cooperation and the concept of serving the people in order to gain the consent of God. These principles are the universal messages that Ahilik offers to humanity. We wholeheartedly believe that Ahilik, which is a worldly and otherworldly system that enabled the Ottoman Empire to become a World State, will be a hope for humanity in the grip of capitalism and imperialism today. At the core of Ahilik understanding is humanity, this system, which acts with the principle of “let people live so that the state lives” ; has aimed for the happiness of society and people by starting from the model of a selfless, socially responsible, mature and well-mannered person who is at peace with himself and society .
Today, the implementation and survival of the Ahi understanding and system not only in business life but also in all segments of society is a historical and vital responsibility for all of us for our future. Ahi, which has such an important place in the common past of the Turkish World, has unfortunately not been sufficiently introduced, and the universal values and principles it created and maintained have been forgotten today. However, Ahi is one of the most important building blocks that will ensure the economic, social and cultural unity and solidarity of the Turkish World. In this context, it is of great importance that our children and youth in particular have comprehensive and accurate information about the Ahi organization and its founder, Ahi Evran.
The general purpose of the International Ahilik and Ahi Evran Competition project, which we have organized for the fourth time this year , is to contribute to the promotion and understanding of Ahilik and its founder Ahi Evran, to remind the universal values he has lived, and to shed light on today’s life and the business world.
Within the scope of our project, a total of 4 different international competitions were opened in 4 categories for 4 different age and education groups. In addition to Turkey , primary school, secondary school, high school and university students from all countries can apply to the competitions with their works in the categories of painting, tale/story, poetry and essay .
The entire competition process is carried out on our website www.ahievran.org and thanks to the comprehensive Ahilik database we have prepared, everyone can access books, magazines, scientific articles, symposium reports, research theses, film scripts, theater plays, pictures and videos about Ahilik and Ahi Evran before participating in the competition. You can also find pictures, tales/stories, essays and poems submitted to our previous competitions on our website.
Our project has been deemed appropriate by the General Directorate of Copyrights of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and has been entitled to receive financial support that will cover a portion of its total budget. I would like to thank the Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of National Education, as well as the official institutions and organizations that supported our project, universities, non-governmental organizations and sponsoring companies.

Painting Category
Painting Competition Special Participation Conditions
1. The theme, subject and content of the works must be Ahilik and Ahi Evran , the founder of Ahilik .
2. The competition is open to all students studying at primary, secondary and high school levels in Turkey as well as in every country in the world.
3. Participants can apply to the competition with only one picture.
4. The painting technique and materials to be used in the competition are free. Collage work will not be accepted. The picture must be in digital format should not be done.
5. The picture can be made horizontally or vertically on drawing paper with a minimum size of 35 cm x 50 cm.
6. It is free to use any kind of picture and painting material (such as watercolor, pastel, dry color, oil paint).
7. There should be no picture or text taken from somewhere and pasted on the front of the picture. There should be no text or shape on the picture that will reveal the identity of the contestant.
8. The picture should preferably be scanned with a scanner or photographed with a phone or camera in high resolution so that it appears complete and clear.
9. The resolution of the digital file of the picture should be 300 dpi and it should be uploaded to the system in PDF, JPEG, JPG or PNG format. The size of the file should not be more than 5 MB .
10. There should be no text or shape in the name, work title, work description and work content of the file uploaded to the system that will reveal the identity of the contestant .
11. The following criteria are taken into consideration when evaluating the pictures by the jury members:
• The picture’s suitability for the subject (describing the theme of Ahilik and Ahi Evran) – 20 points
• Creativity and originality (different and original interpretation of the theme of Ahilik and Ahi Evran) – 20 points
• The power of conveying emotion and thought into the picture and expressing it – 20 points
• The technique used (lines, colors and harmony) – 20 points
• Composition (the order and general appearance of the picture) – 20 points

Fairy Tale/Story Category
Fairy Tale/Story Competition Special Participation Conditions
1. The theme, subject and content of the works must be Ahilik and Ahi Evran , the founder of Ahilik . 2. The competition is open to all students studying at the secondary and high school
level in Turkey as well as in every country in the world . 3. The language of the work must be Turkish in Turkey and must be written in accordance with the rules of the Turkish language. 4. The text of the work must be of a certain quality in terms of language, style, narrative and aesthetics, and must be written in accordance with the genre of fairy tale or story. 5. Participants can apply to the competition with a maximum of one fairy tale or one story . 6. The work must be written on the computer in 12-point Times New Roman font. The length of the text must not be less than two A4 pages with a normal page width of 1.5 lines , and must not exceed six A4 pages . 7. The work must be uploaded to the system as a file in DOC or PDF format. When the file is opened, care must be taken to ensure that the text is legible and neat. 8. There must be absolutely no text or shape that would reveal the identity of the competitor in the name, title, description and content of the file uploaded to the system . 9. The following criteria are taken into account when evaluating the work by the jury members: • Effectiveness and originality of the plot (10 points) • Harmony of plot, character and events (10 points) • Believability of the topics covered and/or non-contradiction (10 points) • Use of fluent language (10 points) • Ability to visualize the events in the tale or story in the reader’s mind (10 points) • Presentation of the content as a whole (10 points) • Effectiveness of the descriptions of the environment and characters (10 points) • Effective use of Turkish (10 points) • Correct use of spelling and punctuation (10 points) • Harmony of the title of the tale or story with its content (10 points)

Poetry Competition Special Participation Conditions
1. The theme, subject and content of the works must be Ahilik and Ahi Evran , the founder of Ahilik . 2. The language of the poem must be Turkish in Turkey . It must be of a certain level and quality in terms of language, style, expression and aesthetics.
3. The poem can be written in any desired meter (syllable, aruz, free). 4. The competition is open to all students studying at high school and university
levels in Turkey as well as in every country in the world . 5. Participants can apply to the competition with only one (1) poem . 6. The poem must be given a title, written on an A4 page with Times New Roman font, 12 points, 1.5 lines, left aligned, and must not exceed 40 lines . 7. The poem will be uploaded to the page as a file in DOC or PDF format. When the file is opened, care must be taken to ensure that the poem is legible and neat. 8. There must be absolutely no writing or shape in the name of the file or on the work that would reveal the identity of the competitor . 9. The following questions are sought to be answered by the jury members when evaluating the poems: • Emotion (Can the emotion/thought expressed in the poem be conveyed effectively?) – 20 points • Mastery of the subject (Is it clear that the poet has mastery of the subject?) – 15 points • Originality (Is the poem original enough? Has the poet achieved a unique style?) – 15 points • Harmony (What is the internal harmony of the poem in terms of elements of harmony such as meter and rhyme?) – 15 points • Use of language (How much care has been taken with the rules of language, spelling and punctuation in the work?) – 15 points • Stylistic features (Does the poem have a concise/intense narrative, does it have an engaging style, is a clear language used, are there any disruptions in the narrative, does it show formal and semantic features appropriate to the style in which it was written?) – 10 points • Impressiveness (I was very impressed by the poem. If I were to publish a literary magazine, I would I would definitely publish the poem in my magazine.) – 10 points

1. The theme, subject and content of the works must be Ahilik and Ahi Evran , the founder of Ahilik . 2. The competition is open to all students studying at high school and university
levels in Turkey as well as in every country in the world . 3. The language of the work must be Turkish in Turkey and the work must be written in accordance with the rules of the Turkish language. 4. The text of the work must be of a certain quality in terms of language, style, narrative and aesthetics and must be written in accordance with the essay type . 5. The participant must include his/her own personal and special feelings, thoughts and opinions on the subject in the work . The participant must not tell who Ahi Evran is, his/her life story, the history of Ahilik and what it is . Instead, he/she must include his/her personal feelings and thoughts on Ahilik; what Ahilik means in today’s society and his/her ideas, predictions and recommendations on the applicability of Ahilik in today’s world in the work . 6. Participants can apply to the competition with a maximum of one essay . 7. The essay text must be typed on the computer in 12-point Times New Roman font. The length of the text should not be less than two A4 pages with a normal page width of 1.5 lines and should not exceed ten A4 pages. 8. The essay text should be uploaded to the system as a file in DOC or PDF format. When the file is opened, care should be taken to ensure that the text is legible and neat. 9. There should be no text or figure that would reveal the identity of the competitor in the name, work title, work description and work content of the file uploaded to the system . 10. The following questions are sought to be answered by the jury members when evaluating the essays: • Being able to find a suitable title for the subject (5 points) • Being able to make an effective start (10 points) • The text’s suitability and effectiveness for the theme (20 points) • The idea in the text being original and creative (15 points) • Being able to use examples and sentences to support the main idea (10 points) • Being able to create a comprehensible narrative order and coherence (10 points) • Being able to use the right words to express what is intended and to form comprehensible sentences (10 points) • Being able to apply grammar rules and punctuation correctly (10 points) • Being able to write an effective conclusion (10 points)

General Conditions of Competitions
1. The competitions are organized by the Turkish World Parliamentarians Foundation (TDPV).
2. The aim of the competitions is to contribute to the introduction and understanding of Ahilik and Ahi Evran, to remind the universal values they have brought to life and to shed light on today’s world.
3. The theme, subject and content of the works must be Ahilik and Ahi Evran , the founder of Ahilik .
4. Before the work to be submitted to the competition is prepared, www.ahievran.org Comprehensive information about Ahilik can be obtained from the Ahilik database on the page .
5. All works submitted to previous competitions opened by TDPV and passed the pre-selection. www.ahievran.orgpage. Participants who want to apply to the competitions can examine these works. However, copying the same, part or similar of these past works is strictly prohibited . 6. The work to be submitted to the competition must be made without assistance, must be personal and original, and must never be copied
from another work . 7. The participant is deemed to have accepted, declared and undertaken that the work sent to the competition belongs to him/her. All legal responsibilities that may arise from the copying of the work belong to the owner of the work. 8. If it is understood that the participants who receive an award have acted outside the declarations and acceptances, the award, title and all kinds of gains they have received will be withdrawn. 9. The work must not have been published in any printed or digital medium and must not have been submitted to this or any other competition before . No re-application should be made with the same works sent to competitions previously opened by TDPV . 10. Those who have won a degree award in competitions previously opened by TDPV must not re-apply in the same category, even with another work . Those who receive an honorable mention may apply with another work. 11. Participants must fully comply with the competition conditions on the page .
12. Membership procedures and work applications www.ahievran.org page.
13. Before applying to the competition, participants must upload their name, surname, date of birth, guardian’s name, profile (passport) photo, name of the school they attend, phone number and e-mail information to the system completely and accurately while becoming a member of the system. After the verification message sent to the e-mail address entered by the participant into the system is approved, TDPV will check all the information and approve the membership application . The participant will be able to upload the work they have prepared to the system after this institution’s approval. Participants whose information is not verified and whose membership procedures are not approved by TDPV will not have the right to apply to the competition.
14. Membership and competition applications on behalf of the student can be made by the school teacher with the knowledge of the parent or guardian. TDPV has the right to request information that the applicant is the parent or teacher of the student and to conduct the necessary investigation when necessary.

16. By applying to the competition, the owners of the works participating in the competition are deemed to have accepted and undertaken that all the information they have provided is correct. TDPV is not responsible for any problems that may arise if the personal information of the applicants is not correct. In such cases, TDPV has the right to disqualify the participant who provides false information from the competition.
17.The deadline for applying to the competition is July 15, 2025. After this date, the system will not accept any works.
18. Works sent by hand or by mail will not be taken into consideration .
19. The Advisory Board will pre-evaluate all works participating in the competition and works that do not have the theme of Ahilik and Ahi Evran and are not deemed suitable according to the terms of the competition will not be able to proceed to the next stage, the jury member scoring.
20. The decisions of the Advisory Board and the jury members are final, cannot be changed and cannot be appealed.
21. After the jury members complete their scoring, the results www.ahievran.org page and participants will be informed via short message (SMS).
22. Depending on the status of the participants who are ranked as a result of the competition, if possible, an award ceremony will be held in Ankara or their awards will be sent to their addresses by cargo .
23. The winners accept to send a photo and a short video expressing their feelings and thoughts to TDPV together with the award; to share these visuals and images on the website and social media accounts by TDPV and undertake not to make any objections.
24. TDPV reserves the right not to give an award if the works are not deemed worthy of an award.
25. Copyright: The works deemed worthy of an award and use at the end of the competition are treated as if their financial rights were taken over by the Turkish World Parliamentarians Foundation (TDPV) in the form of a simple license with all their copyrights. TDPV can publish these works on the competition website (www.ahievran.org), on its own website (www.tdpv.org) and social media accounts, in all kinds of printed materials such as books, catalogs, brochures, all kinds of digital works and publications, on other websites and social media accounts, on television and radio broadcasts, in the manner specified in the relevant articles of the Law on Intellectual and Artistic Works No. 5846; including the right to process, reproduce, distribute, represent, transmit to the public through means of transmitting signs, sounds or images, as well as the right to use and show for exhibition purposes, without paying any fee.
26. As a non-profit organization, TDPV reserves the right to use the said works in order to create resources to realize its purposes and activities. The person applying to the competition declares, accepts and undertakes that he/she will not raise any objection to this matter and irrevocably waives his/her right to take legal action in advance.
27. In the event that TDPV transfers the copyright of the works to any institution or organization that will use these works for commercial purposes, he/she accepts and undertakes to give half of the royalty fee to the owner of the works.
28. By uploading their works, participants are deemed to have accepted the terms of the competition. The terms of the competition come into force when the competitor uploads their work to the system, and participants have no right to object to the competition rules later.
29. When the competition application is made, a confirmation message will be sent to the e-mail address entered by the applicant in the system indicating that the application has been received. TDPV is not responsible for whether the applications of competitors who have not received a confirmation e-mail have been received.
30. TDPV, which organizes the competition, reserves the right to edit, add/remove and cancel the competition terms. Participants do not have the right to object in this regard.
31. All personal information entered in the competition membership and application form is the responsibility of TDPV within the framework of Law No. 6698.
32. Works sent to the competition will not be returned, whether they receive an award or not.
33. TDPV has the right to request evidence and documents from the winners, if necessary, to confirm the accuracy of the information they provided when applying to the competition.
