FAI INTERNATIONAL YOUNG ARTİST AVIATION ART CONTEST 2025 (USA)

FAI INTERNATIONAL  AVIATION ART CONTEST 2025

Since 1989, the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) has been hosting the International Aviation Art Competition to invite young people to show the importance of aviation through art. The goal of this competition is to demonstrate the impact of aviation in an interactive and fun environment like art, motivating young people of all ages to get more familiar with aviation, engineering, and science.

The announcement is for the US section of the competition. The US competition is run by NASAO and the NASAO Aviation Research and Education Center. It’s approved by the National Aeronautics Association (NAA) and supported by Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Prescott, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the National Coalition for Aviation and Space Education, with additional support from NASAO State Members.

Kids between 6 and 17 can join the competition. Entries will be judged in three categories based on age and how creatively they use the aviation theme. Each FAI member sponsors the competition in their country and presents the national winners to the International Jury every year.

Date of birth between 1 January 2015 and 31 December 2018

Group II Category Intermediate:
Date of birth between 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2014

Group III Senior Category:

2025 THEME: WOMEN WITH WINGS

Since the earliest days of aviation, young people have been inspired by people whose adventurous spirits have soared into the skies above us.

Stories of remarkable bravery and world firsts in the air and in space have long captured the imaginations of children across the planet. The glory of record-breaking long-distance flights, magnificent skydiving formations, perfect precision landings and gold medal wins will long continue to enthuse youngsters to take to the skies themselves and experience the challenges and the camaraderie of air sports.

Particularly inspiring for young girls are the tales of women who have defied society’s expectations to take to the air and prove that the sky is a place for everyone.

For the 2025 FAI Young Artists Contest, we want youngsters to focus their creativity on these incredible Women with Wings, who unite in a world where the skies are a canvas of peace and friendship.

Using pencils, crayons, pens or paint, artists can be inspired by Women with Wings to show how women from all walks of life find liberty and inspire others through their love for flight.
