BASES ANIMAYO 2025 INTERNATIONAL POSTER COMPETITION
The producer Damián Perea Producciones SL, with address in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, in forward “the promoter” calls for the “ANIMAYO 2025 INTERNATIONAL POSTER COMPETITION”, a competition that opens the doors to creativity and artistic promotion, in order to select the which will be the image poster of the 20th edition of the Summit and International Film Festival Animayo.
THEME
The theme of the poster must take us to the world of ideas and creativity, focusing it towards inspiration, fantasy and/or technology.
DESIGN
The design will be ready and must be sent in two formats:
1) vertical, 50 x 70 centimeters (width x height)
2) horizontal, 100 x 50 centimeters (width x height) Designs that are not adapted to the two formats will not be admitted to the contest. See details in the section “conditions and presentation formats”.
The poster design must include the following motto as an integral part of the poster:
– “Animayo 2025” (larger size)
– “20th Summit, Conferences and International Film Festival of Animation, Visual Effects and Video Games” (in smaller size).

PARTICIPANTS AND LEGITIMATION
• Minimum age: 16 years.
• Participants of any nationality and residence.
• Participants may not have any type of personal, professional, commercial, direct or indirect with the Animayo Festival. Nor may they be linked to none of the companies that sponsor or collaborate with the Festival.
• Family members and employees up to the second year are excluded from participating in the contest. degree of consanguinity/affinity of the organizing company, and of any of its affiliated companies or companies linked to the activity and promotion of the contest.
CATEGORIES
• Single Category: Winning work
The Animayo organization reserves the right to award runner-up prizes. The These rules are common to both the category of winning work in the competition and the second prize in if granted, with the particular specifications established below to each of them, except for the financial endowment for the runner-up, which, if applicable, will be agreed upon by both parties.
REGISTRATION PERIOD
The registration period for the contest will be open from: 00:00 on February 10, 2025 – 9:00 a.m. on July 25, 2025 (GMT +1).
REGISTRATION FOR THE CONTEST
Registration will be carried out through a web form – registration form, regulated by these bases, which will be accessed from the website http://www.animayo.com/. Works that have not been previously registered through said form will not be accepted, with binding acceptance of these bases:
• Participation may be individual or in groups.
• In the case of groups, the maximum number of participants per group will be five. It will be a unique representative of the group, the person in charge of registering the work. The prize will be awarded to your name.
• Once you have completed the registration form, you will send us your work for the competition, in formats vertical and horizontal, size not exceeding 2 megabytes, through an email to the following email address: cartels@animayo.com. In the subject of sending the email you must tell us: poster contest 2025, followed by the name of the participant and the name of the work. This registration file does not need to contain the measurements and quality of that we demand in the final poster, the design can be reduced as long as it maintains the sufficient resolution to be viewed in detail and does not exceed 2 megabytes.
• The Animayo organization will contact those preselected before March 15, 2025 through the data that appears on the registration form. At that time, and within a period of 72 hours, those preselected must provide the elements, fonts and files necessary at final size and 300 dpi, for final evaluation by the jury. All this with the intention to value being able to adapt their work to different supports, formats and applications necessary for the promotion and dissemination of the contest.
• The elements, fonts and files of the poster will be sent by email to cartels@animayo.com, or through a file storage service on the
cloud, with shared link. In the subject of the shipment you must indicate Pre-selected 2025 Poster Contest, followed by the name of the participant and the name of the work.
CONDITIONS AND SUBMISSION FORMATS
• The works may not bear the name of the author(s) visibly.
• The designs must be of their own creation, original and unpublished.
• Posters will be presented in digital format.
• The design will be made in two formats: vertical, 50 x 70 centimeters (width x height) and horizontal, in 100 x 50 centimeters (width x height).
• In the case of digital image designs, they must be presented in layers. In case of being vector origin, must be presented openly.
• Any type of artistic technique is allowed. Drawings, photographs, creations will be accepted 3D or any other creation as long as they are original. In the case of art inspired by artificial intelligence, its use will be limited to inspiration and not to creation in its in its entirety, works whose images have been created from textual descriptions by more than 20%.
• All designs will be accompanied by a brief explanation of the design with a minimum of five lines of text, which will be sent to the same email.
• The original works will be kept until the contest is resolved, so that may be required where appropriate for the holding of a joint exhibition of all the selected works.
-No reference may be made to any trademark and in no way may the content of the work may be offensive, in the broadest sense. The organization reserves the right to not admit applications that, according to its criteria, do not comply with the technical conditions, artistic and/or legal demands required by the contest, or that hurt people’s sensibilities, incite violent, discriminatory or contrary to social customs.
• The contestants are fully responsible for ensuring that there are no rights to third parties in the works presented, as well as any claim that may be filed for rights of image or analogues.
• The organization will reserve, as of the end of the contest period, the right to exploitation of the work, being able to use it as the final image poster of the festival, and in such case reproduce it adapting the image to the different formats of event promotion (supports and graphic material).
• Each participant or group may present a maximum of five designs. In any case, No participant may be awarded for more than one work in the same edition.Works may not have been awarded in any other competition.
FINALISTS
• The jury will be appointed by the Animayo Gran Canaria 2025 Steering Committee.
• From among the candidates presented, the Jury will select those that it considers most appropriate, evaluating the artistic quality and creativity of the work(s) presented.
• The Jury will choose a minimum of 15 preselected works from among all the candidates, that if they comply with everything stipulated in the bases they will automatically become finalists of the Animayo 2025 International Poster Contest.
• The list of finalists will be made public on the website and/or on social networks before April 20 of 2025.
• The finalist works agree to be exhibited on the Animayo website.
• The finalist works may be part of the Animayo exhibition to be held within the framework of the Festival.
JURY RULING
• From among the finalists the Jury will decide the winning poster.
• The winner’s verdict will be announced before April 20, 2025 through the Animayo website and/or social networks www.animayo.com.
• The jury’s decision will be final.
• The jury may declare the prize void and resolve all aspects not provided for in these bases
AWARDS
• Financial award to the winner: 500 euros. The amount of the financial award is subject to taxes or withholdings in force according to Law, except for exemption granted by the body competent of the Tax Administration.
• The effective delivery of the prizes will be conditional on the winner complying with the completeness of the bases and the veracity of the data provided in the registration. The prize is untransferable.
• The commercialization of the prize or the right to obtain it is prohibited.
• The renunciation of the prize will not give any right to compensation or compensation.
MODIFICATIONS
