Terms and conditions for the Fumetto Comic Competition 2026
The Fumetto Comic Festival Lucerne holds an annual competition. It aims to offer comic artists the opportunity to compete internationally and present their work to a wider audience. The mountains are calling, and you should draw! Sharpen your
pencils, it’s finally that time again: Fumetto is looking for your stories on the theme of PEAK as part of its International Comic Competition. Tell us about highlights and summit experiences, steep ascents, sudden falls, and all kinds of ups and downs.
We’re looking for comics about tree lines and base camps, about après-ski, gentians, and edelweiss.
Perhaps it will be fantastical with Yetis, or—no longer alpine—metaphorical with Sisyphus? Has the peak already been reached, and is it all downhill from here—with climate catastrophe,
landslides, and glacial melt? Whether rocky or gentle, whether alpenglow or global collapse, from Mount Fuji, Uluru, Rigi, or Pilatus: We look forward to your submissions and a fantastic exhibition at the Fumetto Comic Festival 2026!
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
– Closing date: December 1, 2025
– Registration: https://wettbewerb.fumetto.ch/de Only one entry per person
– Submission: Upload (jpg), no submissions by email
– Format: Original A4 or A3, intermediate sizes will not be accepted
– Layout: Landscape or portrait format
– Form: Comics only (multi-panel stories)
– Number of pages: Maximum 4 (only 1 comic)
– Categories:
• Cat. 1: 18 years and older
• Cat. 2: 13 to 17 years
• Cat. 3: Up to 12 years
(the submission deadline is the cut-off date for age)
SCHOOL CLASSES:
Participation from school classes is very welcome. School classes can register directly as a class and participate together.
NOMINATED WORKS AND WINNING WORKS
From all submissions, Fumetto will nominate 45 works. After the submission deadline, Fumetto will request these works from the participants, who should
send them to Fumetto as originals by mail. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the
participants. An international jury will select the winning works from all the nominated pieces.
Fumetto will award three prizes per category, as well as one prize for the best scenario across all categories. Festival attendees will determine an audience award.
EXHIBITION
The 45 nominated original works will be exhibited at the Fumetto Festival 2026. Works that are not nominated will be digitally integrated into the exhibition.
