SAVE THE FROGS! Art Contest 2026
International Frog Art Competition – Free Entry
Artists and nature lovers from around the world are invited to participate in the SAVE THE FROGS! Art Contest 2026, an international art competition designed to raise awareness about the global amphibian extinction crisis.
The contest encourages artists to use their creativity to celebrate frogs and other amphibians while helping spread the message of amphibian conservation.
Who Can Enter?
The contest is open worldwide to people of all ages, nationalities, and skill levels.
Amateur and professional artists, graphic designers, students, teachers, and anyone who enjoys creating art are welcome to participate.
There are no separate age categories.
Accepted Art Forms
The contest welcomes artwork created using a wide range of methods, including:
- Pencil
- Paint
- Ink
- Watercolor
- Digital illustration
- Mixed media
- Hand-drawn artwork
- Digital art
- AI-assisted artwork
- Fully AI-generated artwork
Traditional artwork can be scanned or photographed and submitted digitally.
Theme
Artwork may feature:
- Frogs
- Toads
- Salamanders
- Newts
- Caecilians
The overall purpose of the contest is to raise awareness of the global amphibian extinction crisis and encourage people to help protect amphibians.
Mandatory Requirement
Every submitted artwork must visibly and legibly include at least one of the following:
SAVE THE FROGS!
or
savethefrogs.com
Both may be included.
Make sure the word “FROGS” includes the final S, and that the official phrase “SAVE THE FROGS!” includes the exclamation point.
AI Art Policy
AI-generated artwork is allowed.
The organizers ask every participant to disclose how the artwork was created. The entry form asks for:
- The primary medium or creation method
- The approximate time spent creating the work
- Any software or tools used
If graphic design or AI software is used, participants should provide the name of the software.
The organizers state that disclosure of the creation method is not used to automatically disqualify entries.
Number of Entries
Each artist may submit up to three artworks.
All submitted artwork must be original work created by the entrant. Artwork found online or created by someone else may not be submitted.
Digital Submission
All artwork must be submitted digitally.
Traditional artwork may be scanned or photographed and converted into a digital file.
Accepted file formats:
- JPG
- JPEG
- PNG
Individual artwork files must not exceed 5 MB.
Physical artwork submissions by mail are not being accepted this year.
Prizes
Grand Prize
- $100 cash
- One-year SAVE THE FROGS! membership
- Winning artwork featured on the SAVE THE FROGS! website and social media
Second and Third Place
- One-year SAVE THE FROGS! membership
- Artwork featured on the website and social media
Many Honorable Mentions will also be recognized and featured on the website.
Entry Fee
FREE
There is no entry fee to participate. Donations are encouraged but are not required for entry.
Deadline
November 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time (Los Angeles time)
Entries submitted after the deadline will automatically be considered for the following year’s contest.
