GOLDEN TURTLE INTERNATIONAL ART COMPETITION

GENERAL RULES OF ART COMPETITION
The organizer and copyright holder of the Golden Turtle competition, exhibitions and all facilities and events related to this name is the social support charity fund “EKVATORUM”

Everyone except the organizers of the competition and the professional jury members can participate in the competition with their own works.

Authors from any country are allowed to participate in the competition without restrictions.

Russian English and Russian are the official languages of the competition.

The decisions regarding granting the “semi-finalist”, “finalist”, “winner” status to the works are made by professional jury members and are not subject to appeal.

Basic concepts
The author (artist) is a person who has a full set of copyrights and decision-making authority on all organizational issues related to the participation of the work in the competition, has done and submitted the work for the competition.

The work is an artistic canvas created with various techniques of visual arts, corresponding to competitive conditions and is the property of the author. The work must be done manually from start to finish without using any mechanical, digital and photomechanical techniques by the author.

Registration of authors and works
The registration of authors and works takes place on the website of the “Golden Turtle” competition in the relevant section, according to a specially designated form described in the paragraph “Registration of Authors and Works” of these Rules.

By completing a web form on the site and performing the Registration procedure http://www.wncontest.ru /, The participant confirms that he has read and accepted the terms of Consent for the processing of personal data and accepts the obligations set out here.

The author of the works goes through the registration procedure, then a user name and password are given, which are sent to the e-mail address specified during registration.

After that, the author can download, edit, delete his own works, etc. He gets the opportunity to start his process.

At the beginning of the registration process, the author selects a nomination to which his/her work will be submitted.

In addition, the author uploads works taking into account the following technical requirements:
the works must be presented digitally by scanning or accurately re-photographing the man-made works;
the image format is JPEG;
dimensions: for horizontal jobs – 1920 pixels horizontally; for vertical jobs – 1920 pixels vertically; file size – up to 3 MB.
In order to participate in the competition, the author must accompany the work with the following information:

the name of the author;
Description of the purpose of the work and the animals / natural objects depicted in at least 200 characters.
Additional requirements Oct.:
The author can submit a maximum of 20 works to the competition.
A single work cannot be nominated for more than one nomination.
Originals of the works
In case the work reaches the final, the author will have to provide a file corresponding to the work submitted to the competition and prepared for publication.

The delivery time for the files is 20 calendar days after receipt of the letter containing the relevant request from the Festival organizers. The author provides the files through a special form on his personal account.

Requirements for the provided files:

Formats: Tiff., JPG (resolution – 300 dpi).
The name of the file containing the image should correspond to the name of the work (for example, “The Living World” – the work “Jivaya zemlya”).
The originals of the works are used by the organizers for various purposes, including, but not limited to:
for the pressures necessary for the jury to work;
To prepare the final album (each author whose work is represented in the album(you) receives 1 (one) author’s copy of the album);
to prepare exhibition copies of the works;
To create an archive of the finalists of the competition, etc.
Reasons for rejection
In the following cases, the work will not be accepted to the Golden Turtle competition:

the work does not meet the requirements set out in the articles of these Rules;
Obscene language was used in the description of the study.
The organizers of the competition reserve the right not to participate in works that do not meet a certain quality and technical level without giving a reason.

Copyright
The author must be the copyright owner of the works provided to him.

Copying (correct reproduction) of photographic works from the Internet and other sources is prohibited. Its characters, composition, colors, etc. We are talking about direct copying of the third-party artistic intention that contains.

Professional jury members have the right not to recognize the result of the author’s artistic activity (copied photo work) because he did not make a personal creative contribution to the creation of the work.

Professional jurors are not required to reconcile the works, but the author will be disqualified if the fact of copying is established. By submitting the work to the competition, the author guarantees that his work does not violate the intellectual rights of third parties. The participant is fully responsible for his/her studies and undertakes to solve them with his/her own powers and means in case of requests by third parties.

The author is both an individual person and a group of people (studio, art school, etc.) May be. The author accepts the terms of the License Agreement by submitting works to the Golden Turtle competition.

Copies of the exhibition printed with the funds of the organizers of the Golden Turtle competition for display at the exhibition remain with the organizers and can be used by them within the framework of the legal activities of the EQUATORUM Social Support Fund.

Awards
Winner in adult nominations

The winners of the adult candidates receive a cash prize equivalent to 75,000 Russian rubles, a glass trophy, a diploma, an album with all the finalists of the competition and prizes from partners.

The winner in the youth nominations

The winners of the youth candidates are given a glass trophy, a diploma, an album containing all the finalists of the competition and prizes from partners.

Stages, practitioners, deadlines and rules for the evaluation of studies
Stage 1 – Registration of works
Performed by: on-line, by employees of the competition administration

Deadlines: 01.12.2024 – 31.03.2025

Rules: It is executed according to approved and published standards (see http://wncontest.ru/art/rules /). All selected works have registered (accepted to the competition) status.

Stage result: Registered works bank

Stage – Quarterfinals
Performed by: on-line by professional jury members

Deadlines: 01.04.2025 – 10.04.2025

Regulation:

Professional artists, professional jury (minimum 5, maximum 7 people) is formed from the winners and winners of international competitions
Participation in the professional jury prevents its members from participating in the main part of the competition as authors
The members of the professional jury vote for the works that they consider worthy of being in the final
The number of votes received from the professional jury members is published in the private offices of the participants
Works that receive at least one vote from the professional jury members are entered into the semi-finals
The selected works get the status of semi-finalists
The competition management has the right to request photos of the intermediate stages of the creation of the painting as a proof of the exclusivity (originality) of the work Dec.

Stage – Semi-Final
Performed by: on-line by professional jury members

Deadlines: 11.04.2025 – 20.04.2025

Regulation:

The evaluation is carried out by the professional jury members on a personal account on a 5-point scale.
The highest and lowest scores for each job are not taken into account
The results of the evaluation of each member of the professional jury are published in the personal offices of the contest participants who have reached the semi-finals (evaluation results are available only according to the author’s works)
A “pass score” is created according to the target number of finalist works to be exhibited during the final exhibition (the decision is made by the Festival organizers every year)
All works that receive a “passing grade” in each nomination are given the status of finalists
A notification is sent to the finalist authors regarding the granting of status, the works are placed in the personal offices of the professional jury members without the evaluations received at the previous stages of the selection
The result of the stage: the list of the finalists’ works published in the personal offices of the professional jury members

Stage – Final
Performed by: on-line by professional jury members

Deadlines: 21.04.2025 – 30.04.2025

Rules:

The winners and prize-winners are determined using a double rating.
Each member of the professional jury forms his own personal rating of the TOP 3 best works in each nomination (1st place – 3 points, 2nd place – 2 points, 3rd place – 1 point)
The system automatically selects in each nomination one work that has scored the maximum number of points based on the results of voting by members of the professional jury, and separately the work that has been in the TOP 3 best more often than others. If the work tops both ratings, it becomes the winner of the nomination. If different works topped these ratings, an additional vote is made by all members of the professional jury only between the works claiming to win.
A work receives a special jury mark if it received 3 votes from members of the professional jury in nominations where up to 10 works reached the final; if it received 2 votes from members of the professional jury in nominations where 11 to 20 works reached the final; if it received 1 vote from members of the professional jury in nominations where 21 or more works were completed in the final
The result of the stage: a list of winners and works with a special mark of the jury in each nomination, published in the personal accounts of the members of the professional jury.

Stage 5 — Special nominations
Implemented by: Festival partners who have established special nominations

Deadlines: 11.05.2025 – 30.09.2025

Rules:

The partner of the Festival, who has chosen the appropriate sponsorship package, has the right to establish its own nomination (upon additional agreement with the Expert Council of the Festival)
After the final selection is completed by the members of the professional jury, the Festival partner gets access to all finalist works that did not win prizes in one or more basic categories (the level of access depends on the established nomination)
The result of the stage: an additional list of the winners’ works in special nominations
